Dr. Sharat Chandra Goteti, an eminent Medical Oncologist by profession has created a deep impact on the lives of cancer patients. Dr. Sharat’s hard work and passion for treating one of the most challenging diseases of the century has made him gain immense knowledge in the field of oncology. He is an ardent believer and keen learner with an expertise in treating all types of cancers with due diligence.
Medical Oncology is a stream of diagnosing, treating and preventing cancer with various therapies. Dr. Sharat as a medical oncologist treats Gastrointestinal Cancer, Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Head & Neck Cancer and all Hematological Malignancies with various treatment options like chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy.
The oncologists across the globe have seen revolutionary changes in the cancer treatments from just “no cures” to “various cures”. The grown research and technological development has added to the effectiveness of cancer treatments. Dr. Sharat believes that cancer as a disease impacts both the mental and physical health of the patient and so it needs to be treated with more holistic approach.
Work Experience
Dr. Sharat Chandra Goteti after completion of studies in the field of Medical Oncology, joint the research team at P D Hinduja National Hospitals and Research Center, Mumbai and gained an overall experience for 1 year. Later he joint Apollo Indraprastha Hospitals in Delhi, NCR for 3 years as a Senior Registrar in Medical Oncology.
My Learnings
An MBBS from Bhaskar Medical College and Research Center in Hyderabad, Dr. Sharat was an ardent student keeping pace with new technology and updates in the field of medicine. DNB for General Medicine from P.D.Hinduja National Hospitals and research Center and DNB for Medical Oncology from Apollo Indraprastha Hospitals and Research Center, Dr. Sharat Chandra Goteti is a resourceful keen learner who intends to grow for the betterment of human race.
Dr. Sharat’s fervent approach towards his profession has made him a part of many research programs wherein he has effectively published and presented his research works at National and International Oncology Conferences and publications making it more resourceful for aspiring oncologist across the globe. He has acquired training for Perceptorship Courses from the prestigious “European Society of Medical Oncology” in the field of Immuno Oncology, Breast Cancer, Gastro Cancer and Prostate Cancer. Dr. Sharat is conferred with Membership of Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom in Medical Oncology - MRCP (UK) for completion of Speciality Certificate Examination -2021
